Location

The Bluspirit Bungalows form part of those hotels, cabins, guest-houses, accommodation and bed and breakfast that can be found on the Caribbean Sea.

Our bungalows are situated in the small town of Cahuita which is on the south Caribbean Sea.

The good location of Bluspirit Bungalows allows you, in only five minutes, to walk to the small and friendly town of Cahuita that is found on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica.

In Cahuita, during the night, you can hear the famous and original calypso of Walter Ferguson and the local reggae, the genuine and alive Afro-Caribbean culture.

The bungalows are close to the exotic Cahuita National Park and other beautiful beaches, for example the black sand beach (Playa Negra), Playa Grande and Puerto Vargas beach, where Baula turtles come to lay their eggs.  In Cahuita National Park, you can walk in the middle of beautiful and exuberant tropical forest and have the chance to see monkeys, sloths, toucans, hummingbirds, snakes, butterflies and insects, among others.

From Cahuita you can make the short journey to Honey Creek where you will find a small hospital, open all hours for emergencies.

In the Caribbean Coast, as well as Cahuita, you can find Puerto Viejo, Punta Cocles, Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva, Manzanillo and Gandoca with its interesting lake.

From Cahuita, in an hour, you can go to the picturesque city of Limon and with organized tours you can visit the natural reserve of Tortuguero in whose canals you can observe crocodiles, caimans and above all is the most important place for the reproduction of marine turtles in the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica.

Cahuita offers various services: bars, restaurants, supermarkets, internet service, post office, businesses, tourist police, dentist, medical service, bank, tourist information office, hotels, guest houses, bed and breakfast, bungalows, lodges, houses to rent, rooms to rent, camping, souvenir shops and an interesting butterfly garden.

Animals and plants

The Bungalows are surrounded by tropical plants and flowers like Heliconias and Bromelias that attract various species of humming birds and beautiful butterflies.  In our exotic garden you can see and photograph the young sloth.

Sea view

Bluspirit Bungalows offer you the chance to sunbathe in the small private beach, enjoying a delicious Piña Colada made with Cahuita rum, refreshed with the sweet breeze of the south Caribbean.

Free Costa Rican coffee is available at any hour of the day and we sell drinks and Costa Rican beers.

The Hotel Bungalows Bluspirit offers the possibility to rent weekly or monthly, a Caribbean style house for six people, fully equipped and only 20 meters from a supermarket and only 10 minutes from the beaches and town centre where you can find Cahuita National Park, hotels, accommodation, businesses, a pharmacy, bank, restaurants….
